Indiana Jones meets The
DaVinci Code.
The Depiction tells the story of three students
from Harvard and their Professor. They break a
code, which was written more than five hundred
years ago by a man named William Sparksdale.
The code tells of the final resting place of an
actual painting of the man called Jesus. For two
thousand years the world has asks what he looked
like and Depiction explores this very question.
William Sparksdale died in an insane asylum and
his code was considered the words of a madman.
Mark Wilder discovers that his code isn’t a
jumbled mess of words. He finds that the code
leads to a map, which will tell of the
final resting place of The Depiction. He learns
that the first clue is hidden inside the ancient
Catacombs in Rome.
He and his
friends from Harvard
find a journal hidden in the ancient burial
grounds. The journal leads them on a journey that
will take them to three of the worlds most
dangerous places.
Depiction is a story of love, friendship and
adventure. After more than two thousand years Mark
Wilder discovers The Depiction and the answer he
finds may surprise you.
As many of you know I wrote a screenplay before I
wrote the novel. This was a blessing. Having a
screenplay in hand gave me an outline to pen the
manuscript. Writing the novel opened up doors that
I was unable to explore with the
limits of a screenplay. I am now in the process of
rewriting the original screenplay and I believe it
will make it vastly better.
The Depiction is a wonderful story and I
think has an incredible hook.
Everyone at some point in their lives, no matter
what their beliefs, has wondered what Jesus looked
like. I hope my novel (and screenplay) will answer
that question for you. You will be surprised at
the answer I have come up with.
I think The Depiction will appeal to fans of The
Da Vinci Code as well as fans of The
Raiders of the Lost Ark series. Of course my book
will stand on its own but if you like adventure,
love and danger then maybe The Depiction is
something you might want to pick off the shelf one
day.
